Mount Hardy Zinc-Copper Project
The Mount Hardy Project is located on the Tanami Highway, 300km north-west of Alice Springs and 20km west of the town of Yuendumu. The Project comprises several high-grade structurally-controlled precious and base metal oxide and sulphide targets generated from geochemistry and geophysics, including the advanced Hendrix Prospect.
Previous Exploration
- Copper field discovered in the 1930’s with sporadic small scale mining to the 1970’s
- 900 line kilometre HELITEM survey completed, as well as IP and gravity surveys in 2013
- 17 priority EM targets identified
- Copper grades of +1% Cu returned from five prospects tested in initial drilling campaigns by TNG Limited in 2013 and Todd River in 2017
Hendrix and Browns
- Copper and zinc-rich polymetallic discovery at Hendrix in 2018
- Drilling intersections at Hendrix include:
- 9.15m @4.5% Cu, 8.8% Zn, 7.6% Pb,182 g/t Ag in hole MHDD0031A
- 13.45m @ 15.9% Zn, 0.9% Cu, 5.75% Pb, 83 g/t Ag in hole MHDD0021A.
- Multiple untested EM anomalies remain along strike from the Hendrix Prospect
- Drilling intersection of 7m @ 1.8% Cu at Browns including Cu grades up to 3.9%, yet to be followed up
- Outstanding potential to extend known areas of mineralisation using modern geophysical exploration tools
Planned Activities
- Further RC and diamond drilling at Hendrix
- Additional ground based Moving Loop EM on the western Corridoor
- Structural and EM target ground testing, to be followed by drilling
